Ray Vachon

Team Responsibilities: Sponsorship, Business Operations, Car Setup, Mechanic, and Driver.

Ray has been working on cars for well over 20 years, and has been studying race car setup dynamics for the past 3 years.  He successfully ran 2 prior businesses, and currently still runs RBV Technical Services part-time.

During the day, Ray works for the City of Welland in the Engineering Department as an Engineering Technologist, and is a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) as deemed by the Ontario Association of Certified Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).

Ray’s past racing experience is mainly in autocross and some drag racing, and did see some success with a few Top 3 finishes in the ESP class.  He also has several hours of lapping experience at some the local road courses like Dunnville Autodrome, Mosport DDT, and Toronto Motorsports Park.  Prior to those experiences, Ray spent thousands of hours on race simulators where he learnt a lot about vehicle dynamics and setup.

Ray has been married to Billie-Jo for over 7 years and they both take care of their two cats and one dog.

Ray’s other interests/hobbies include cycling, reading, and camping.

Ray values honesty and dedication above all else.

Car Chief:

Joe Vachon

Team Responsibilities: Mechanic, Paint/Body, and Fabrication.

Joe is a retired mechanic of 42 years.  He successfully ran a car repair business for over 27 years.  He also designed and built various custom cars, trucks, and equipment.  One of Joe’s best assets is coming up with creative solutions for unusual problems.

Joe is the father of Team Owner Ray Vachon, and has been married to his wife Linda for over 42 years.

Joe’s other interests/hobbies include working out, cycling, and auto detailing.

Team Support:

Billie Jo and Linda Vachon

Team Responsibilities: Office Administration, General Support

Billie Jo & Linda are wives to Ray & Joe respectively. They will be assisting with travel plans, office paperwork, and taking care of the crew.
