It looks like I will NOT be making the first weekend of the season which is May 23-24, nor will I be able to make my scheduled May 21st appointments for alignment, corner balancing, and dyno tuning, mostly due to budgetary constraints.   Sad but true.

There are still a bunch of small things to do to the car;

• fabricate dash DONE – May 23
• install all gauges – DONE 0 May 30
• finish hood pin install - DONE – May 18
• fabricate heat shields for under car gas lines (exhaust runs a little too close) – DONE – May 31
• fabricate heat shield for wires along side the right header – DONE – June 2
• fabricate rear seat support to harness bar DONE – May 12
• fabricate seat mounts for passenger side
• install 5-point harness belts for both sides
• install battery box & battery – DONE – May 24
• wire electrical for entire car – DONE – May 31
• install drive belt – DONE – May 30
• install thermostat, & fill engine with water – DONE – May 30
• run an engine oil flush – DONE – June 2
• oil & filter change with AMSOIL Dominator 10w30 Racing Oil & WIX Racing Filter - DONE – June 2
• paint car interior
• apply all decals – DONE – June 2
• fabricate/construct new racing steering column – DONE -  May 16
• change rear springs – DONE -  May 17
• weld on rear lower control arm relocation brackets – DONE – May 17
• replace rear lower control arms – DONE – May 17

As you can see, it’s all fairly small items, but time consuming.

Looks like I will only be ready for the 2nd weekend which is on June 13-14.  Time, and money will tell.
